October Retro Horror Marathon 2024: Week 1
Getting spooky with some old and modern classics
It’s that time of year again. I love checking out all of the old, kooky, and cult horror classics that I can find on streaming every October. While this year’s selection may seem more contemporary than years past, there are still a few creepy gems in the mix.
Also, like last year, I picked out a few great titles a little too early, so I’m having to start my marathon with titles that are getting ready to expire from Tubi before October 1. Let’s get started:
See No Evil (1971)
Mia Farrow is probably best known for a different horror film, but this one could rival the other. In this film, Farrow’s character is blind and is living with a family in a grand country estate. What immediately sticks out to the audience is that this particular house has arched doors lined up three on each wall, making it a very confusing place to learn how to navigate as a blind person. And when someone warns her that she’s accidentally opening the cellar door instead of the kitchen, well you know what’s going to eventually happen.
Although there are some moments where the audience would be creeped out, especially if you are a person that has home invasion as one of your worst fears, this movie reads much more like a crime thriller than…
